French industrialist Andre Citroen founded Citroen in 1919. In 1924, the B10 was introduced. This was Europe's first car to have an all-steel body. Ten years later, Citroen came out with the Traction Avant, the first front wheel drive model to be mass-produced not only in Europe, but anywhere in the world. These revolutionary advancements during the first half of the twentieth century helped cement Citroen's place as one of the iconic car manufacturers of Europe.
Although those early innovations were maybe the most important events in the Citroen history, thanks in part to partnerships with companies like Peugeot and Michelin, the car giant remains a symbol of fine automobiles to this day. Some of Citroen's current, popular models include GT By Citroen and the electric-powered C-Zero.
