About Chevy Truck Covers
Chevrolet co-founder Willy Durant introduced the first Chevy truck in 1918. Early Chevrolet trucks were powered by four-cylinder and six-cylinder engines that were known for their durability. In 1955, Chevy developed the small-block V-8 and opened up a new era in attainable performance. Since then, Chevrolet has been in a head-to-head battle with Ford for American truck supremacy.
The Chevy truck line included the S-10, a compact pickup truck, and the Avalanche, a four-door sport utility truck. Launched in 1982, the S-10 is a compact pickup truck from the Chevrolet marque of General Motors. For many years, the S-10 competed for popularity with the Ford Ranger. In 1998, the Silverado made its debut as Chevy's new full size pickup. The Silverado comes standard with four-wheel ABS and StabiliTrak and side curtain airbags are optional on certain trim levels. Produced in 2001 as model on the GMT800 platform, the Avalanche features a removable rear window, allowing the transportation of especially long items. Its bed is large enough to accommodate a motorcycle or even an ATV!
