EmpireCovers.com's trip to the Philly Car Show

As a company, Empirecovers.com goes to the Philadelphia Auto show every year to check out the latest and greatest cars in the auto world. Because we are in the auto industry, it's important to stay on top of new trends that are up and coming, in order to plan and make our products accordingly. Every year it seems like an automotive company comes out with a crazy new concept car that no one has ever seen before. This year there were few of those cars, and because of the hit this industry experienced in 2009, most companies have spent their money in more practical ways.

The economy and focus on the environment were common themes among new models. Because of this, many companies focused on electric cars and hybrids. One of the most anticipated electric cars is the Chevy Volt. Scheduled to come out at the end of this year, the Volt is one of the first fully functioning and practical electric cars. Getting about 40 miles in between charges, the Volt is very appealing to the average commuter. All it takes is a standard 120 volt plug and it’s all charged up and ready to go in about 8 hours.

Another trend seen by the auto industry recently is crossovers. A crossover is a vehicle that has the frame of a car and an exterior of an SUV. Many companies have a capitalized on this vehicle because it combines the features of both cars and SUVs, making it very appealing to consumers. Some of the crossovers we saw at the Philly auto show include the Hyundai Tucson, Chevy Traverse, and the Cadillac SRX.

At Empirecovers.com, we do our best to stay up to date with the ever changing auto industry. Going to shows like this helps us to see what we need to do in order to make our products accommodating to the consumer. It also helps us to better understand the cars our products are covering. We understand that your car is important to you, and we want to do everything we can to make sure it’s being taken care of.
